The Nature That Needs You
The proposed Temporary Local Planning Instrument was intended to start protecting areas of ecological significance but the Toowoomba Regional Council has voted to shelve it calling for another report exploring options due in six months time.
Our regions nature cannot wait any longer, we need Toowoomba Regional Council to get serious about taking action to protect areas of ecological significance.
Help us push Toowoomba Regional Council to take strong and effective action to protect our region’s significant trees and the wildlife that call them home.
How to Get Involved:
- Take a photo of a native animal or a significant native tree in your area.
-
Share your photo on Facebook and or Instragram.
- Add a caption sharing why protecting significant habitat trees and the animals that depend on them matters to you and how you believe building our homes can be done without destroying theirs just as they do in other SEQ councils.
