Heat and Hazards, Keeping Queenslanders Safe Meeting

Are you concerned by the increasing extreme weather and heat waves affecting you and your community?

DDEC is teaming up with other conservation groups around Queensland to engage our local governments to ramp up the work of adapting to climate change. We also want to put pressure on state politicians in the lead up to the state election to get funding committements to help local government do this important work.

This meeting will explore what the council is currently doing, what is missing, and how we might be able to combine helping our community adapt with advocating for change at a local level.
